FAQ's & Policies

  • What time should I arrive for a class at Tula?

Plan to be on your mat 5 minutes early. As a small studio without front desk staff, doors are locked promptly at the designated class time. Arriving at class time or later may result in locked doors and late entry may not be possible. However, members will not be billed for being unable to enter.

  • Where should I park when attending a class?

We have a parking lot behind the building accessible from Corona St. or the east side alley. On-street parking is free, but be mindful of street sweeping signs (Nov-April). Never park in the Downing Street garage lot; towing is enforced regardless of their status.

  • What are the guidelines for using phones in the studio?

Please refrain from talking on the phone in the lobby or studio space. Silence your phones to maintain a tranquil environment.

  • Are there specific etiquette guidelines for Hot Yoga classes?

Yes, practice kindness to yourself and others. Avoid strong scents and be considerate of allergies. Keep conversations outside the yoga room. Breathe through the nose, except during breathing exercises. Follow the teacher's cues, take breaks and savasana in stillness, and work together. Stay in the room for safety and energy consistency. Ensure you have water and use the restroom before class. Clean up sweat and, if needed, bring an extra towel.

  • Can I join class if I'm running late?

Doors are locked at the class time and late entry is not possible. Avoid knocking on the door during classes. However, members will not be billed for being unable to enter.

  • Can I leave the room during a class?

It is disruptive and unsafe to leave the room during a class. Moderate your practice, ensure you have sufficient water and use the restroom before class.

  • Do I need to clean after class?

Yes! Wipe up your sweat before leaving the room. It's hot yoga! Sweating is inevitable but please be mindful of others and bring an extra towel if necessary.

  • Can I shower there?

Yes. Please keep showers short in consideration of others. Doors are locked 30 minutes after class ends.

  • Does the studio cancel classes for bad weather?

We occasionally cancel classes for weather and holidays. The online schedule will reflect the most up to date information. Please check the schedule before emailing the studio.
